Information about the Tridentina via ferrata experience

The Tridentina via ferrata to Pisciadù owes its fame to its short approach stretch, to the incredible beauty of the landscape that surrounds it and to the spectacular hanging bridge over a cliff by Mount Torre Exner. The Tridentina via ferrata features a 400 meters elevation gap (a total of 700 meters) and two separate equipped stretches, the second one being definitely more demanding. The via ferrata leads to a wonderful lodge by a very evocative lake - at an elevation of 2595 meters - and it offers a thrilling and spectacular descent through valley Val Mezdì.

The Tridentina via ferrata to Pisciadù is equipped with hooks, metal wires and rungs that assist the climb until a ladder that leads to a ledge. The highlight of the excursion is the hanging bridge that crosses a spectacular cliff. This is a rather demanding hike and it is recommended for hikers of at least sixteen years of age.

The excursion starts from the parking lot by Passo Gardena. The approach develops within a marvelous environment and it leads to a spectacular waterfall from where the equipped section starts. The descent can take place either through the renowned valley Val Mezdì, under the majestic rocky walls of Mount Masores, or along the steep and technical valley Val Setus that features a stretch equipped with metal wires.
