Information about the hiking to Mount Cima Juribrutto

The hiking to Mount Cima Juribrutto offers landscapes that will remain in the hikers’ memory; it develops through a motley itinerary that, never too hard, stretches among water courses, alpine little lakes, verdant slopes and dolomitic cols.

The hike starts from the holiday farm Agriturismo Malga Vallazza in the Paneveggio-Pale di San Martino Natural Park, from where the path enters a military track that ventures into the woods before popping out right in front of the slopes that lead to Mount Cima Juribrutto.

The path keeps going until it reaches an evocative little valley rich of pool waters and the beautiful alpine lake. Following the trail, the hikers will go up all the way to the bivouac and to col Forcella di Juribrutto from where they will keep going up through the side of the mountain -among foxholes and various remains of The Great War (World War One)- until the spectacular mountaintop.

After covering an elevation gain of about 1’000 meters the hikers will go back to the starting point going down through a pleasant trail.
