Information about the via Ferrata Lipella to Tofana di Rozes

The route of the via Ferrata Lipella starts at the heart of the mountain through the Galleria del Castelletto, a typical long tunnel carved by the Italian army to conquer an Austrian outpost during the Great War. It continues by covering spectacular horizontal ledges, climbing vertical faces, and overtaking oblique ledges and high rocky steps up to the fore summit at an elevation of 3027 meters, where the bolted section ends. The itinerary for the excursion continues on a scree along the summit ridge, reaching the cross on the top of the Tofana di Rozes at an elevation of 3225 meters; where we admire an incredible view over the entire Dolomites.

The excursion does not include any particular technical difficulty, but the length of the route and the elevation gain of 900 meters to be negotiated on the climb demand good physical training. It starts and finishes at the Rifugio Dibona after a grandiose circular tour.
