Information about the Vinatzer Castiglioni climbing route

The Vinatzer Castiglioni climbing route gives an extremely rewarding and thrilling alpine experience.

Giovanni Battista Vinatzer and Ettore Castiglioni opened it on September 1937. It develops on the majestic and legendary south side of the massif of Marmolada and it leds to Mount Punta Rocca, at an elevation of 3309 meters.

After an approach that covers a 430 meter elevation gain, the Vinatzer Castiglioni climbing route starts at an elevation of 2509 meters and it articulates on a development of 1000 meters with a total of di 26 lengths and a 800 meter elevation gain (Stenico exit). This very rewarding climb rates VII (VI A0) maximum difficulty..

It is a pretty well equipped via developing on good rock but it is, anyway, rather demanding and fit for the expert mountaineers. The descent takes place through the ski traks or by cable car.
