The Cir V via ferrata in the Puez-Odle Group is a marvelous and motley itinerary developing within an incredibly scenic environment. It does not feature any particular technical issue but it offers a notable exposure. The approach develops in a very evocative landmark and it is easy and very pleasant.

Information about the Cir V via ferrata

The Cir V via ferrata is a very fun, scenic and not extremely demanding via ferrata. The attack is reached through a marvelous trail that leads to Rifugio Dantercepies with wide curves. From the rifugio - right under the wall of Mount Cir V - we enjoy a spectacular view on the massif of Mount Sella.

The Cir V via ferrata in the Puez-Odle Group is comfortably equipped and its last stretch leads to the summit through a vertical wall with several steady handholds. It features a 100 meters elevation gap (with a total of 400 meters). This is a very steep via ferrata featuring compact rock and good handholds. It is optimally secured with a thick and constantly taut wire. A ladder helps the hikers overcome the steep stretch at the attack. The distance between the rungs, the rods and the handholds is never too long. This tour is good for the beginner hikers.

The excursion starts from Passo Gardena, at an elevation of 2121 meters. The attack, by Rifugio Dantercepies, is reached through a trail or through a forest track. The descent takes place through the south couloir, partially equipped, after following the metal wires.
