Spectacular peak with 360° view that, on a clear day, allows the hikers to admire all the most important mountain tops in Trentino-Alto Adige. This excursion is made even more thrilling by the presence of many little pool waters that lead to the Juribrutto alpine lake.
The trekking to Mount Juribrutto starts from chalet Baita Negritella (1’750 meters) just below Passo San Pellegrino coming up from Moena.
From there the path begins through road 628A that goes up in the woods. Once out of the forest the hikers will keep going up among huge porphyry boulders, magmatic effusive rocks, heading to col Forcella Juribrutto. The hikers will, then, keep climbing and they will leave the majestic wall of Mount Cima Bocche on their right hand side and the west wall of Mount Juribrutto on their left.
Once the path reaches the col (2’381 meters) the hikers will have the chance to admire the blue waters of lake Lago di Juribrutto. As it keeps climbing up through the south side the trail reaches the summit of Mount Juribrutto, at an elevation of 2’697 meters.
During the descent, that takes place through the climb route, the hikers can go down all the way to the lake and -if the weather allows- the bravest can swim.
