
The trekking in Val Monzoni starts from a dense evergreen fir woods and then it goes up to Rifugio Vallaccia in a wild and isolated place that offers an amazing view on the Monzoni mountainous range. This ascent to Rifugio Vallaccia develops through incredibly motley environments.
The hikers will meet in Pozza di Fassa in the hamlet of Meida, in front of Camping Vidor.
The trekking in Val Monzoni to Rifugio Vallaccia starts on the forest track that skirts the creek until chalet Malga Crocifisso ("Chalet Crucifix", 1'522 meters). The hikers will, then, take forest track number 603 that goes up to wards valley Val Monzoni. After pasing the remains of chalet Baita Monzoni -destroyed by a fire a few years ago-, the path gets to valley Val Monzoni. After reaching chalet Malga Monzoni (1'862 meters) it goes back up through the valley to take trail number 624 that steeply goes up until the amphitheater that lies under Rifugio Vallaccia (2'275 meters) that can be reached with a last rather steep stretch.
The hikers will, then, go back through the climb route.
