Information about the Tissi climbing route to Torre Venezia

The Tissi climbing route was opened by Attilio Tissi, Attilio Bortoli and Giovanni Andrich on August 20th 1933.

This marvelous climb in the Civetta range can be divided in three sections. The first part develops through a rather free path and it offers several variations. The second part, the "length of the traverse", is considered the key stretch. During the third stretch the ascent goes up through chimneys and dihedrons. The via ends by the large ledge and to teach the summit the climbers must connect to the Via Normale.

The itinerary covers a 405 meter elevation gain with a development of 610 meters. Its 20 lengths can be overcome in about 8 hours. The Tissi climbing route is rated V+ maximum level of difficulty. The descent connects to the Normal climbing route and it features two rappels.

Participants Anyone over the age of 15, with an adequate level of training and fitness, can participate in this experience.
