The ascent through the Via Tempi Moderni (Moderne Zeiten - Modern Times) is a wonderful climb that goes up through the evocative and dark slabs piled up on the side of the mountain all the way to the summit of Mount Punta Rocca, at an elevation of 3309 meters. It is one of the most beautiful and exciting climbing routes on the south side of Mount Marmolada that offers a very enjoyable climb on very good rock.
The Tempi Moderni climbing route (Moderne Zeiten) on the south side of Mount Marmolada, offers a fun and thrilling climb that features, though, some rather demanding stretches. It was opened on September 1982 by Heinz Mariacher and Luisa Iovane.
A long and demanding climb that features a development of 1135 meters and that -in 27/29 lengths- covers an 800 meter elevation gain. Tempi Moderni climbing route rates VII+ maximum difficulty.
The descent is done by cable car to Malga Ciapela; or through the Via Normale of the Glacier on the north side until Rifugio Pian dei Fiacconi and to Passo Fedaia.
