This exciting climbing route, that has become a classic one, climbs up along the edge of the south tower of Sass Pordoi. The rock is good, particularly thanks to the several repetitions during which it has been "cleaned" and the equipment is definitely adequate. In its second part the itinerary "trespasses" for a while on the path of Via Maria and it offers comfortable resting points equipped with cemented rings.

Spigolo Piaz climbing route to Sass Pordoi is a very nice itinerary that leads to the summit of an extremely evocative and scenic mountain. It was opened on September 27th 1933 by Sandro del Torso and Tita Piaz. It is a technical and very interesting path.

After reaching the attack in one and a half hour, the route can be done in about four hours. The twelve lengths in which the ascent is divided develop through 400 meters and cover a 300 meter elevation gain. The climbing route is rated VI° maximum level of difficulty.

The descent can be done taking the cable car or going down the trail that leads to col Forcella del Pordoi and to Passo Pordoi.
