This scenic and exciting itinerary leads to the summit of Mount Piz Ciavazes overcoming a very evocative spike. The first section leads to ledge Cengia dei Camosci and the second part leads to the peak. The equipment is good through the whole path and the stopping points are comfortable. During the first lengths the climb is rather technical while in the following ones it gets easier, except for some shorts passages. The views that this wonderful path offers are absolutely priceless.
This spectacular route was opened by Karl Gombocz and Erich Abram in 1953.
A scenic, fun and particularly technical itinerary. It climbs up rather steep through a majestic rock spike. The equipment is good along the whole path and the stopping points are comfortable, except for some that are rather narrow.
The Spigolo Abram climbing route features a 300 meter elevation gain and a development of 380 meters and it is divided in 12 lengths. The ascent can be done in four hours (it takes 15 minutes to reach the attack). The climbing route is rated V° maximum level of difficulty (VII/A0).
The descent crosses ledge Cengia dei Camosci. It features an evocative passage on hands and knees through a short tunnel before leading to the foot of the mountain side. It features two downhill (II°) climb passages or, as an alternative, two rappels. A nice trail, then, leads to Passo Sella.
