The excursion starts from rifugio Pederü. We go up on the sled track to Rifugio Lavarella (2042 meters) and, crossing a little flat valley, we approach a hollow right on the foot of Mount Ciastel de Fanes, a majestic rock spur. Tackling the impressive slope, we climb up to the little col under the west crest of Sasso delle Dieci. The top is reached by passing a last stretch equipped with a via ferrata. The beautiful ski descent takes place along the climb route.

The ski mountaineering excursion to Sasso delle Dieci (Sass da les Diesc) features a 1500 meters elevation gain and loss. It requires good training and ski mountaineering technical skills and is rated BSA (Good Ski Mountaineer). Maximum incline is 35 degrees.
