Information about the ski mountaineering excursion to the east side of Sass de Putia

From the little village of Seres the hike starts through a wide trail; going up a mild track, after crossing a creek, we reach the slopes at the foot of the mountain side. Through the main couloirs - with crampons and pickax - we get to the top from where we ski down through the climbing route. The descent is very appealing and extremely rewarding, though never easy; with a declivity of 45°, it does not feature any extreme obstacles.

The ski mountaineering excursion to the east side of Sass de Putia features a 1300 meters elevation gain and loss. It requires good training and mastering of technical skills of ski mountaineering and is rated as AD (Rather Difficult). Maximum incline is 45 degrees.
