Information about the ski mountaineering excursion to Odla Di Valdussa

The excursion starts from the parking lot by the bottom station of the colle Raiser cable car, at an elevation of 1500 meters. First, through Valle del Cisles, we reach Rifugio Firenze, at an elevation of 2037 meters, and we head to Vallone di Mont da l'Ega. Then we climb up a steep slope until Colle della Porta, at an elevation of 2862 meters, squeezed between Mount Forchetta and Mount Sass de la Porta. As we keep going up the steep east side (often crampons needed), we reach the summit, at an elevation of 2942 meters. The ski descent, very rewarding, takes place through the climb route.

The ski mountaineering excursion to Odla Di Valdussa in the Puez-Odle features a 1492 meters elevation gain and loss. It requires good training and mastering of technical skills of ski mountaineering and is rated as BSA (Good Ski Mountaineer). Maximum incline is 40 degrees.
