The ski mountaineering excursion to Forca Rossa offers an interesting tour with no particular technical difficulties in a wild and pure environment through Alta Val Franzedàs, in the western side of the Marmolada Range. The whole hike is incredibly scenic and the view from the summit, on Mount Civetta and Mount Agner is beyond words.
The excursion starts from Malga Ciapela, by the camping area, along the forest track that ventures into Val Franzedàs. In the middle of the long valley we approach Col Bechèr and after a last steeper stretch we reach Forca Rossa. The ski descent can take place either through the climb route or following a more rewarding itinerary along the creek Rio Franzedàs.
