The ski mountaineering excursion to Mount Sella di Sennes (2787 meters), within the Fanes-Sennes-Braies Natural Park, offers a long and marvelous tour that develops through sharp turns and steep slopes. The view from the top is incredible and looks at the peaks of the whole park, among the best mountain tops in the Dolomites. The descent, often on powder snow, is spectacular.

Information about the ski mountaineering excursion in the Fanes-Sennes-Braies Nature Park

The excursion starts from the parking lot in Pederü at an elevation of 1548 meters. We start climbing through the cleft along a forest track. After a flat stretch the climb gets moderately steep and goes up in the woods until we reach another forest track that will lead us to Rifugio Sennes (2116 meters of elevation).

Through a little valley we go down to Rifugio Munt de Sénes (2176 meters) and then, passing some humps, we approach the final slope. We are ready to face the last stretch that will lead us to the top of Mount Sella di Sennes (Muntejela de Sénes). The beautiful descent develops through the climb route.

The ski mountaineering excursion to Mount Sella di Sennes features a 1300 meters elevation gain and loss. It requires good training and mastering of technical skills of ski mountaineering and is rated as PD (Moderately Difficult). Maximum incline is 30 degrees.
