Information about the ski mountaineering excursion in the Fanes-Sennes-Braies Nature Park

The excursion to Sasso Santa Croce (Sass dla Crusc) starts from rifugio Pederü. Going up the forest track we reach rifugio Lavarella. Among extremely evocative landscapes we keep going following a creek until we get to the basin just north of Lake Le Parom. In constant ascent we keep going and, after passing just below Mount Ju dla Crusc, we climb through the crest to reach the top of Sasso Santa Croce. Skiing down the climb route we get back to the starting point.

The ski mountaineering excursion to Sasso Santa Croce features a 1570 meters elevation gain and loss. It requires good training and mastering of technical skills of ski mountaineering and is rated as AD (Rather Difficult). Maximum incline is 40 degrees.
