The ski mountaineering excursion to Passo Cir and Passo Crespeina is a fantastic hike. It develops in the Cir Range within an enchanting environment among the typical towers and the charming dolomite pinnacles and it offers breath-taking views. This tour, not too demanding, crosses two spectacular cols and it brings to the summit of Col Turond (or Col Toronn) from where the exciting ski descent through Val Chedul starts.
The excursion starts from Rifugio Jimmi at Passo Gardena. It starts right away with the most demanding and steep section that leads to Passo Cir. It’s already time for amazing views on Mount Sassolungo, Mount Puez, Mount Sella and several more. After climbing towards Forcella Crespëina we reach the summit of Mount Col Toronn. The ski descent is motley and very fun; it stretches through Val Chedul onto Vallunga from where we take the ski lift to go back to Passo Gardena.
The ski mountaineering excursion features an 800 meters elevation gain and 1000 meters elevation loss. It requires good training and mastering of technical skills of ski mountaineering and is rated as AD (Rather Difficult). Maximum incline is 40 degrees.
