The Forcella del Sassolungo via ferrata starts near Rifugio Demetz and develops along the rock spur that delimits the valley that climbs to Forcella del Sassolungo. The route is characterized by a variety of passages:
- First meters: vertical and slightly overhanging, with metal brackets for assistance.
- Subsequent sections: variety of ledges, ramps and steep climbs, with exposed and panoramic passages.
- Final part: crossing a ledge to the Forcella del Sassolungo.
