The Primo Spigolo climbing route (Via Alverà-Pompanin) is an interesting itinerary that follows a nice line along the first right spur of the beautiful south face of the Tofana di Rozes. The climb treats you to great emotions and satisfaction in a majestic and spectacular environment. It is quite diverse and well-paced, among corners, cracks, chimneys and traverses never too challenging or constrained.

The Primo Spigolo route was opened in 1946 by U. Pompanin and A. Alverà and is a great classic in the Dolomites. During the first lengths the itinerary follows the great corner at the base of the face, then it continues along the spur with aerial and panoramic climbing sections on nice and solid grey slabs with great handholds along corners and cracks.

The Primo Spigolo climbing route unfolds in 12 to 14 lengths for an elevation gain of 450 meters on great solid rock. The climb rates V level of difficulty, with a few moves at V+. The descent follows a trail.
