Hiking Lagazuoi Tunnels

The hiking to the Mount Lagazuoi Tunnels offers an amazing itinerary that goes down in the heart of the mountain going through the historical tunnels used by the Italian soldiers during World War One. This unique excursion allows the hikers to time travel through the rock in a real natural museum. The hikers will have to take the cable car that will bring them to the summit of Mount Lagazuoi from where the tunnels start.

Information about the hiking to the Mount Lagazuoi Tunnels

The hikers will meet by the parking lot of the bottom station of the Lagazuoi cable car, on Passo Falzarego (2'105 meters). The cable car will take them to Rifugio Lagazuoi (2'752 meters).

After going down a little, the path enters the World War One tunnels. The tunnels are dark and damp so it is important to be very careful and to always keep the headlight on. Through the embrasures the hikers will have the chance to admire incredible views. Once out of the tunnels they will go back to the cable car station.

Participants Anyone over the age of 15, with any level of training and fitness, can participate in this experience.
