The excursion in Val Monzoni to Rifugio Taramelli starts in Pozza di Fassa in the hamlet of Meida, in front of Camping Vidor.

From there the hikers will take the forest track that skirts the brook until chalet Malga Crocifisso (Chalet Crucifix, 1'522 meters). The path, then, takes forest track number 603 that goes up towards valley Val Monzoni. After passing the remains of hut Baita Monzoni, destroied by a fire some years ago, the hikers will enter valley Val Monzoni. Once it reachees chalet Malga Monzoni (1'862 meters) the path goes up through the whole valley following Ruf di Munciogn until Rifugio Taramelli (2'046 meters) situated on a characteristic rock spur.

The descent of the excursion in Val Monzoni takes place through the climb route.
