The itinerary is a great trip within the great face in search of the climbing line and the weak points of the staggering one-thousand-meter vertical wall. This is a thrilling climb in incredible surroundings, along one of the “mythical” routes in the Dolomites, leading up to the cross on the summit.

Information about the Eötvös Dimai climbing route in Tofana di Rozes

The route was opened in August 1901 by A. Dimai, G. Siorpaes and A. Verzi with Baronesses Ilona e Rolanda von Eötvös. It's a great classic in the Dolomites, coveted by all climbers. It features a very rewarding and logical itinerary covering the whole amphitheater of the Tofana di Rozes, ending on the sharp west ridge, after negotiating a thrilling aerial traverse with over 700 meters of void under your feet.

The route unfolds in 18 to 20 lengths for 850 meters on great and solid rock and requires good training and stamina. The climb rates III/IV+ difficulty, two moves at V and mandatory IV+. The descent follows a trail.
