This interesting itinerary does not start from the base of the mountain but it begins detaching a little from a stopping point of the Micheluzzi climbing route (of which it could actually be considered a variation) right at the base of the famous traverse.
The Diedro Buhl climbing route in the Sella group is a beautiful path whose direction is dictated by a well visible yellow dihedron in the middle of Mount Piz Ciavazes, underneath ledge Cengia dei camosci. The climb is technical and thrilling and it provides optimally equipped stopping points.

After the 15 minutes that are needed to reach the attack, the route can be usually done in six hours, reaching an elevation of 2400 meters.
