The Comici route to Punta Frida, in the mountain range of the Tre Cime di Lavaredo, features a nice and always diverse and exposed climb, mostly along vertical corners. It is a classic route that unfolds along the vertical south face, following logical and natural lines up to the summit.

Information about the Comici climbing route to Punta Frida di Lavaredo

The route was opened in 1934 by E. Comici, G.B. Fabjan, V. Cottafavi and G. Pompei. It features an itinerary rich in vertical corners, traverses, and cracks; it is sparsely bolted but with nice belays. The Comici climbing route unfolds in 10 lengths for 300 meters, on nice and solid rock, friable and irregular in the lengths leading to the summit. The climb is rated V/VI maximum difficulty. The way down is on a graveled ramp and with one double-rope rappel.
